This is one of the most important things to plan for, and we raise it in every consultation.
When a ceremony is streamed on a platform that uses automated copyright detection — including YouTube — the system can identify copyrighted music in real time and mute or interrupt the stream during songs like a processional or recessional. This is not a streaming quality issue; it is a platform licensing issue that affects any streamer using popular recorded music.
We walk couples through practical options ahead of time: using live performance audio only, selecting royalty-free music, or choosing a streaming destination that does not trigger automated detection for private events. We also clearly document music licensing considerations in the contract so couples understand the risk and their options before the day.
The short version: if this matters to you, bring it up early. We can work around it — but only with some advance planning.
